Day 1 - Luang Prabang Arrival
Overnight in Luang Prabang. |
Welcome to Luang Prabang! After checking in to your hotel, set off on fun, battery-powered electric bikes for a tour of the city's main sites and hidden laneways (note: bikes suitable for kids over 8; child seats are available) Join the locals for a game of petanque in the evening or watch a mesmerizing performance of Lao dance before exploring the colorful night market.
Day 2 - Luang Prabang - Kuang Si Waterfalls - Luang Prabang (B,L)Join local Lao families this morning as they partake in the morning alms ritual, making offerings to the lines of orange-robed monks as they walk down the streets. Then you'll head to the Kuang Si waterfalls to spend the morning swimming and hiking through the beautiful natural surroundings and enjoying a picnic lunch. Returning to town in the afternoon, you'll visit the ethnology center and partake in a serene baci ceremony. Overnight in Luang Prabang. |
Day 3 - Luang Prabang - Kamu Lodge (B,L,D)

A morning cruise along the Mekong River takes you to the Pak Ou caves and onwards to Kamu Lodge. You'll check in to your safari-style accommodation and enjoy a lunch of delicious local dishes. This afternoon, adults and kids will love the activities at the lodge: rice planting, gold panning, fishing, trekking and village exploration are all possible.
Day 4 - Kamu Lodge - Luang Prabang - Departure (B)After a leisurely morning at the lodge, travel by boat down river to Luang Prabang stopping at a village on the riverbanks along the way. The remainder of this afternoon is at your leisure until transferring to the airport for your onward flight. |
