Essential Luang Prabang - 3 Days / 2 Nights

Day 1 - Arrival in Luang Prabang

On arrival, you will be welcomed by your tour guide and taken on an orientation tour around this picturesque town. At sunset, ascend the 328 steps to the top of Phou Si Mountain that offers a stunning panoramic view of the surrounding rivers and cityscape before wandering through the bustling Hilltribe Market for traditional textiles and handicrafts made by the hill tribes.

Overnight in Luang Prabang.

Day 2 - Pak Ou - Luang Prabang (B)

Essential Luang Prabang - 3 Days / 2 Nights - itineraryFollowing breakfast, cruise upstream along the Mekong River to Pak Ou Caves, where you will discover gold-lacquered Buddha statues of all shapes and sizes nestled deep in the limestone caverns. Discover the significance of waterways in the Lao livelihood as you slowly cruise along the Mekong River. Embark on a cultural tour of Luang Prabang in the afternoon, in which you will visit the Royal Palace, now National Muesum, before exploring the gilded temples dotted across the city which include Wat Mai, Wat Sensoukarahm and Wat Xieng Thong.

Overnight in Luang Prabang.

Day 3 - Luang Prabang Departure (B)

After breakfast, spend the morning at the Heritage Information Center and learn how Luang Prabang fuses and preserves its traditional Lao and European colonial architecture. If time permits, visit the weaving village of Xang Khong and witness the techniques of making Lao textiles and mulberry paper before transferring to the airport for your departure flight.
