La Residence Phou Vao - Luang Prabang

Who should go?
The hotel is perfect for those who want to experience Laos in luxury. La Residence Phou Vao is one of the best, if not THE best hotels in Laos.

When to go?
Luang Prabang is best from mid-October to the end of February, when the weather is dry and cool. July and August are also good times to visit.

Where is it?
La Residence Phou Vao sits on the "Hill of Kites," just 2 km from Luang Prabang. It commands panoramic views of the town, the surrounding countryside and the lovely mountains including Mount Phousi.

What's not to be missed?

The Spa at La Residence Phou Vao is not to be missed. It is the first luxury spa in Luang Prabang and offers all the latest and traditional treatments in a well-decorated Lao-inspired atmosphere. Anyone interested in reliving the colonial era will enjoy a stay at here. You won't be disappointed. - the charm of a small size accomodation with only 34 rooms.

What's cooking?
La Residence has spent no expense with their dining. They have a French Chef in charge of the restaurant and the Champa Bar to ensure that you (and your stomach) are not disappointed while staying here.

Recently voted as the number one destination in the world by the New York Times, Laos, or more accurately Luang Prabang, has finally found its way onto many must visit lists. Although the enigmatic town of Luang Prabang with its temples, golden chedis and French inspired riverside boulevards is arguably the most charming of all southeast Asian cities, Laos, it has to be said, is much more than Luang Prabang.

Lao Style - 6 Days / 5 Nights - Thumbnail

Unearth two hidden gems within Laos while you stay in some of the finest hotels in Indochina and dine at the best riverside restaurants with our Lao Style tour.
